It means that when I use anything to change the way I feel, one is just not enough... Starbucks, shopping, etc.

For me it means that I anything that is good to me I use it over and over  again until becomes detrimental to me and is no longer good for me but I continue to go back to it with the thought thta it will somehow make me feel better and I know it will not.

The disease of addiction means that I have no control over my behaviors and all my actions are dictated by the getting and using and means for more.  Addiction not only deals with drugs, however, whatever floats your boat and makes your life become unmanageable.  It comes in phases, once one jig is up, another starts, usually because I have not found peace within to fill that biggggggggggg hole inside.

The disease of addiction is me thinking that I can be in a relationship with someone I had used with, after all he wasn't using anymore right.n Wrong he wasn't in recovery not good for me yet I ignored all the warning signs.
